Behind the Lens

I'm Jakob — a hobby photographer based in Neubiberg. By day I work in administrative IT, but whenever I have a free moment I'm out with my camera, hunting for the shot that tells a story I haven't seen before.

My love for photography started on a hiking trip years ago when I realised that my phone camera couldn't do justice to what I was witnessing. I picked up my first DSLR shortly after and never looked back. There's something almost meditative about slowing down, studying the light, and waiting for the world to arrange itself into something beautiful.

I gravitate towards landscapes, street scenes, and quiet portraits — moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Photography has taught me to pay attention, and that's a skill that spills into everything else.
